What is the Cal Poly Pomona University Writing Center?
The University Writing Center (UWC) opened for business on September 25, 2000. The UWC offers both study groups and writing workshops, but our core service is a 30-minute one-on-one appointment.
Where is it located?
The UWC is located in Building 15, 2nd Floor, Room 2919 at Cal Poly Pomona.
What kind of services does it offers?
Tutors are available to assist students and have been trained to offer a multi-level response to student papers, and are not limited to checking grammar and punctuation.
Who can use its services and is there a fee?
Only Cal Poly Pomona students can use the UWC and the services are free.
What are the operating hours?
During the regular quarter the UWC is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Hours are reduced during finals week and quarter break.
