I think it is a fare agreement that Huddle took the time to frame the story within a story. I think Huddle had a different approach when he wrote this story. Could it possible be that he was starting to write a flash back? He has a good way of telling his story and than going into another with out even noticing the change.
His description of the characters was very detailed. I almost felt as if I knew them myself. He also took time in developing the scene of each event. When Michelle was crawling on the ground in the rain it fely like I was next to her freezing my tail off to.
