Huddle's style is very interesting and unique. It starts off with first person. Then the story turns into third person with the narrator recalling a story of another person, Michelle. This style of writing keeps the story interesting. By telling Michelle's story, the narrator keeps the reader on the edge, and this way he is limited in accessing the mind of Michelle. The story within a story becomes mysterious. However, the reader was quite informed about Michelle's thinking. It is a very good example of flashback. The reader learns a great deal about Michelle who tells the narrator her story, and the narrator tells it to us.
