8:00 am: Morning Reception and Motivational

Guest Speaker: Paul Caligiuri, 1988 US Olympian and Head Coach, CPP Men's Soccer Team. Location: Campus Center Marketplace (Panda side).

9:30 am: Activities for You

• Arabian Horse and Equine Center Tour
  Walk through the main barn with a thorough explanation of tack and horses including colors. Location: 29; Presenter: Kelly Pina and Holly Greene
• Bio Trek Tour
  Biological Sciences Department of CPP
  Experience hands on, electronic educational demonstration of the tropical rainforest, aquatic environments of the tropics, and California. Location: 4A; Presenter: Michael Brown
• Cooking Demo: "So CA Hospitality with a Louisiana Flavor"

• Financial Education

• How to Maintain Your Rose Garden

Hosted by the President’s Office, the President’s Cabinet and CPP Foundation. Come one, come all! The President’s Office, the President’s Cabinet and Cal Poly Pomona Foundation are graciously hosting lunch for ALL staff members. Location: Engineering Meadow

2:00 pm: Annual Variety Show

Come enjoy your fellow staff members as they entertain us with their many talents!

All staff members will want to keep Thursday, June 19, open for the annual Staff Appreciation Day! “We are the Champions” is the theme this Olympics year as management teams thank staff for helping to make Cal Poly Pomona one of the premier CSU campuses.

Several events are planned for the full day, including a very special Morning Motivational Speaker; tours of the Arabian Horse Center and Bio-Trek; workshops in Maintaining your Rose Garden, Recycling, and Financial Planning; and a Louisiana-style Cooking Demonstration!

Following those activities is another scrumptious lunch catered by Kellogg West and provided FREE to all staff, courtesy of President Ortiz, the President’s Cabinet, and Cal Poly Pomona Foundation!  RSVPs, to indicate a preference for Santa Maria Tri-Tip OR Vegetarian Southwestern Stir-Fry, will really help the K/W staff in planning the right amount of delectable delights.  Of course, the luncheon’s highlight will be the awards ceremony honoring the 2007 – 2008 recipients of OUTSTANDING STAFF awards.

Staff Appreciation Day wraps up with the ever-popular Variety Show which we promise will include fresh new acts this year as well as some of your favorites from the past!
