SurveyMonkey: A versatile, inexpensive tool for assessment and analysis.

Dr. Phil Rosenkrantz, California State Polytechnic University, Pomona

SurveyMonkey on-line surveys are being used as valuable tools for both objective and subjective assessment at Cal Poly Pomona. After the 2005 ABET visit, the College of Engineering Assessment Committee set as a top priority simplification and standardization of assessment activities. One important result was increased and innovative use of SurveyMonkey on-line surveys. The latest software enhancements allow for rapid deployment, increased response rates, real-time sharing of results among assessment team members, data base development/management, and sharing of instruments between departments. This session will illustrate and demonstrate selected examples and allow participants to create a free account and build a sample survey on-line.           90 Minute Session
