Grading will be based on the following (See Policies and Procedures for more detail and sample calculatons):

Homework - Homework is due as shown on the schedule and WebCT Assignment page. It is the student's responsibility to plan ahead and meet deadlines. Late homework will not be accepted.

In-Class Quizzes - Open Book/Open Note - Best 5 out of 6 will be counted for the final calculation. However, must have a quiz average of 60% or more to pass the class.

50%
Attendance - 50 points (5%) reward for being present at In-Class sessions. 10 points (1%) subtracted for each absence. Proposal and Final Presentation days count as two absences. No excused absences. These points are for being present, observing, and participating.

Projects - Project #1: 15%, Project #2: 15%

To implement and simplify grading, 1000 points will be possible For example, Homework = 150 points, Quizzes = 500 points [100 points each]. etc. Points will be reflected in the WebCT gradebook.
