General Encyclopedias in paper versions
The Library has a recent edition of the Encyclopedia Americana located at second floor Ready Reference Collection.

Encyclopedia Britannica The Library provides access to a web version of the Encyclopedia Britannica via the Databases Page and by using a "Search Britannica" button at the top of Library Catalog screens after you have done a search.

Specialized Encyclopedias
Single volume and specialized subject encyclopedias can be searched using the Library Catalog. A quick search method: do a KEYWORD search using the word stem encyclopedia* and a subject term:

encyclopedia* cheese encyclopedia* photography encyclopedia* physics

Electronic Encyclopedias There are a few popular electronic encyclopedias available from the Encyclopedias /Dictionaries listing on the Databases page.
You can get a more extensive list of our electronic encyclopedias by doing this search in the Library Catalog: Note that you need to control the pull down so that it is searching just the EJournals/Ebooks.
You can also do a narrower keyword search by adding a keyword for your desired subject.
