Macintosh

Note: These instructions are for Mac OS 9. I&IT technicians have not been successful in getting SpamBayes to work with OSX email clients and are currently seeking an alternative third-party solution.

  1. First, you will need to download and install MacPython: http://homepages.cwi.nl/~jack/macpython/
  2. Next, download and install the SpamBayes package:
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/spambayes/spambayes-1.0.4.zip?use_mirror=jaist

Unix

There is no direct mail client integration on Unix and Linux systems. However, you can still use SpamBayes.

  1. First, you will need to download and install Python 2.2.2 or later: http://www.python.org/
  2. Next, download and install the SpamBayes package:
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/spambayes/spambayes-1.0.4.zip?use_mirror=jaist
