Client Setup Instruction Guides: EXCHANGE - Outlook 2003 (Windows 2000)
Pre-Configuration Settings:
NOTE: Only perform the following "Pre-Configuration Settings" if your computer is NOT a part of the campus WIN domain.
Note: We are ensuring that our email is even more secure by supporting "Secure Socket Layer" (SSL) for our Webmail, POP, IMAP and SMTP servers.
If you need to send or receive email before completing configuration of your local email client, you can still access email through your web browser interface at:
https://exchange.csupomona.edu.
- Click on Start > Settings > Control Panel and click on the Network and Dial-up Connections icon. Within this screen, right click on your connection and choose properties. In the properties screen, double click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) choice.

- In the properties screen, click the Advanced button.
- In the advanced TCP/IP settings screen, click the DNS tab. Click the button that says "Append these DNS suffixes (in order):", then click the Add button.

- Click OK on all the screens until you return to the desktop. You are now ready to configure Outlook to accept your exchange mail.
