University Writing CenterThe University Writing Center, after almost three years in Building 1, is moving back to a newly renovated location on the second floor of the library. We will participate in the “soft” opening of the library and will be open to all students for tutoring and computer use starting on June 23, the first day of summer quarter. Our new space is in room 2919, right where the old main entrance used to be. After you go up the escalator to the second floor, turn left. During summer 2008 our hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:00-6:00.

About University Writing Center The University Writing Center serves all Cal Poly Pomona students regardless of program or major. There is no charge. You can come in with any type of writing assignment at any stage of the process. We can help you understand the assignment and plan your paper. We can help you organize and revise your paper. We can even help you learn to proofread for your most common mistakes. We can also help you prepare for the Graduation Writing Test. We offer:
Hours During fall, winter, and spring quarters the Writing Center office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. In summer quarter we are open for tutoring Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but closed Fridays. Hours are reduced during finals week and quarter break, so it is best to call during those times. |
