The Summer Institute takes a comprehensive and systematic approach to the integration of instructional technologies into teaching and learning with sound pedagogy. The core of the Institute is an immersive, week-long series of interactive workshops, technology skills sessions, hands-on project work, and group discussions.  Participants should expect to spend additional time in post-workshop activities, developing their courses and consulting with I&IT Learning staff.  Institute faculty are required to commit to teaching the online or blended course at least once during the 2008/2009 academic year.  Summer Institute faculty are also encouraged to participate in mentoring activities, panel discussions, or presentations that showcase the results of their work.
