Client Configuration Guide: Mac OS X Mail (Mac)
Make sure you have completed the
basic setup of SpamAssassin
Open the Mail application
From the "Mailbox" menu, select "New Mailbox..." within your desired account
Give the folder a name (i.e. Spam)
From the "Mail" menu, select "Preferences..."
Select the "Rules" icon
Select the "Create Rule" button
Within the "Description:" field, type
X-Spam-Flag
Within the Criteria area, select the "From" drop-down box and select "Expert..."
Within the "Header:" text box, type
X-Spam-Flag
Click the "Add Header" button
Click "OK"
Within the Criteria area, select the "From" drop-down box and select "X-Spam-Flag"
Verify the
second
drop-down box is set to "Contains"
Within the text box, type
YES
Check the box "Transfer to mailbox:"
Use the drop-down box to select your newly created folder (i.e. Spam)
Click "OK"
Close the "Mail Preference" box
